Daniel, a Black Briton, was the victim of a vicious hammer attack by Asians in the city centre and was left lying in a pool of blood from his head.
Daniel Flake (16) and Warren Gordon (16), from Bretton, Peterborough, were waiting for a lift home at Queensgate bus station, city centre, when the incident took place in March this year.
As he lay on the floor after the first blows, Daniel was hit again and suffered severe cuts to the back of his head and a fractured skull. He was treated at Peterborough District Hospital, before being transferred to a specialist unit at Addenbrooke's Hospital, in Cambridge.
Daniel, who has been left scarred for life by the attack, is suffering from sharp pains in his head and has been told he will not be able to play any sports for two months.
Jangir Ahmed (19), of St Paul's Road, Millfield, Peterborough, has appeared in court charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding Daniel Flake (16) with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
Aszaal Latif (18), of Hallfields Lane, Gunthorpe, Peterborough, denies two counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, against Daniel Flake and Warren Gordon.
